OLD MINING CAMP
Guests can relive California 's Wild-West as they explore "Faultline, Californy," our replica of the Wild West mining camps that sprang up in the late 1800s. Guests at our Old Mining Camp enjoy the colorful local history and legends of a rowdy by-gone era when settlers came here in search of freedom and fortune.
Our Old Mining Camp offers a covered and weather-protected dining hall for up to 200 people, with additional outdoor seating for up to 1,000 guests.
The Camp also features three stages, two dance floors, antique wagons, a Mining Town with assessors' office, hotel, saloon, bank, livery stable, stagecoach office, lock-up jail (great for photo opportunities!), and a safe gold mine exhibit that includes authentic old mining equipment and fascinating local photos taken over 100 years ago.
The Camp has spectacular views of the Coachella Valley from the Salton Sea to Mt. San Jacinto. Behind the Camp are miles of trails for exploration by jeep, foot or bike.
At the Camp there are numerous activities for guests to enjoy including gold panning, an old-time shooting gallery, straw cow roping, darts, horseshoes, pool, and foos ball. We also have an Old Time Photo Studio and can offer walking, hiking, or jeeps tours from the Camp.
CAHUILLA INDIAN VILLAGE
Our Cahuilla Indian Village is a historically and culturally accurate recreated Indian village situated on the documented archeological site of an ancient Cahuilla Village.
The Village offers two dining and entertainment areas.
The lower level features a covered eating area for 40 people, with additional uncovered seating for up to 250 guests.
The upper level features an Indian Village constructed using the same techniques used by the Cahuilla Indians 2000 years ago. The Village is filled with interpretive displays and exhibits showcasing the foods, weapons, baskets, pottery, tools, and other aspects of Cahuilla life.
The Village is complemented by sparkling pools and a running stream. Views of a natural palm oasis and valley lights complete the scene.
