(Copy of letter sent to ARC Meeting Planners/Execs): I want to share with you an OUTSTANDING activity in the Palm Springs area – Desert Adventures. I always thought it would be boring and hot to drive around in a jeep through the desert. What could be fun about that? WOW, was I ever wrong! I went on a three hour tour to the San Andreas Fault. I learned so much about plants, desert animals, the eco system, the oasis, earthquakes and faults, native Americans, early settlers, the railroad, where many of our medicines come from, how to live off the land, and on and on! It was anything but hot and boring, it was totally fascinating and time flew by. Our guide took us to their Cahuilla Village and their Old Mining Camp they have set up for private parties of 20 to 1,000 people. What a GREAT idea and fun activity! You can have a group in the most luxurious hotel with all the amenities, yet bus them 15 minutes away for a total desert, educational and FUN experience that is so different from what they would ever expect. Anyway, I cannot say enough about this company, their guides, their knowledge, venues and FUN they put into every one of their events. THANK YOU to you and your staff for a great event! We heard rave reviews about the Old Mining Camp from our members. I liked the variety of activities for our guests, all of which were in an area sufficient for the number of guests, yet close together enough to keep an intimate feel. The jeep tours were definitely a great add-on. We saw two shooting stars during my jeep outing! The band did a great job. They were very talented and a lot of fun - great music selections. Our guests gave great reviews of the food quality. I was impressed by how well the lines at the bar moved - that's often an area where there is a wait, especially in the beginning of the evening, but you all moved the lines quickly. Your staff was friendly, informative and interactive. The only thing I would have changed would have been to make the event longer. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Mary, Morgan, Mitch and Khail ~ Thank you for an amazing desert adventure – we had a wonderful time and, as always, learned more about the geology, flora, fauna, Indian culture, agriculture and history of our basin (Morgan explained we're not really a valley). It was exciting to ride along the San Andreas Fault, traverse up canyons, walk in a natural palm oasis and visit Metate Ranch. Thank you for your hospitality. Hi Wendy, Just had to write you and let you know how things went. I was just amazed at how much information Darrell kept under his hat. I didn't think I would be able to retain it all, but I did (to my amazement!). It has been one of the most informative tours I have ever taken in my life! I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and the guide. I would highly recommend this tour for young and old alike! People are asking me all about the Faults and I'm actually able to tell them a little something about it and it's surroundings. I surprised myself! Thank you soooooooooo much for this wonderful tour. If I'm out your way again, I would like to take another tour through your company!!! Sandy
