Learn about geology, earthquakes, and the desert's history, plants, and animals as your jeep winds its way through the amazing labyrinth of geological cuts and canyons of the San Andreas Fault Zone. This tour includes numerous opportunities to get out of the jeep and explore the desert "up-close-and-personal". Options include taking a nature walk or short hike, panning for gold at our Old Mining Camp, or exploring our Cahuilla Indian Village, EpiCenter Earthquake Education Center, or Pioneer Homestead. JOSHUA TREE NAT'L PARK jeep tour |

The adventure begins the moment you board your Big Red Jeep and depart on a jeep eco-tour through the rugged back-country of the Joshua Tree National Park. You will travel rugged trails up spectacular canyons and through desert washes as you journey through two deserts and the transition zone between two ecosystems. Below 3,000 feet, the Colorado Desert encompasses the Eastern part of the Joshua Tree National Park and features natural gardens of creosote, ocotillo, and cholla cactus. The higher, moister, and cooler Mojave Desert is the special habitat of the Joshua tree. The rugged mountains of twisted rock and exposed granite monoliths testify to the tremendous forces that shaped and formed the desert landscape. Don’t forget your camera, as you will want to take pictures of the gigantic boulders, Joshua trees, yuccas, and other lush plant life that thrive in this area. Private tours are also available. Choose from one of our suggested tours or let us design a custom hiking or sightseeing itinerary based on your personal preferences. You can decide what you want to see, how long you want to spend exploring, and how much hiking you wan to do, and we will be happy to create a customized outing for you and your family! With our Rent-a-Guide Service, our guide will meet you at your hotel or home and ride along with you in your car (you drive, they narrate). Price is per hour for up to 7 people.
