“Joshua Tree Tour”

To begin, "Tour" doesn't begin to describe this adventure. We began by driving through the wind farms - and as we are engineers - had a very intelligent discussion with our guide on alternative energy - and energy sources in general. (We talked techie - and loved it!) Then on to the main event. Joshua Tree National Park is truly an undiscovered gem (and thankfully so). When I have traveled in other countries I have always sought after local guides. I didn't realize what I have been missing in the US. Local knowledge/history coupled with an understanding of "how such geology came to be" took this "Tour" to the next level. My eyes and brain were both wonderfully stimulated - I can't wait to return.””

“Fun and educational day in Joshua Tree”

We booked the Joshua Tree National Park Eco-Tour. We were picked up on time at our hotel by our tour guide Morgan. Turns out we got a private tour, which was everything we could have hoped for. Morgan gave us tons of interesting information about the Park and the local history and community. From Morgan's description, it sounds like Desert Adventures takes the training of their guides seriously, so if you are looking for a tour that will give you tons of interesting information, this is probably the company to go with. The Park tour is worth taking if you like interesting rock formations and desert plant life. There are some nice views across the valley and we even stopped at an old gold mine. We went in late January and it was a bit chilly in places, so take the 'dress in layers' advice to heart. Next time we are in the area, we will probably try the fault tour.””

“Star tour home in PS”

A Great way to see where all the current and past stars live in Palm Springs. Recommendation only go in the open air jeep it sits higher and you can see a lot more! We were in a SUV and could not see half what we could in an open air jeep that sits higher. We had Morgan, she has TONS of info on who lived where, what they paid, when, etc.! LOT's of history in this town and a must for the Movie star lovers!””

Ask for a Jeep!

★★★★★

My friend and I took this tour recently and had a great time. Normally Desert Adventures conducts this tour in an SUV or a Van. But we were given the option to go in one of their red jeeps instead since it was a nice day. If the weather is nice when you go, ask for the Jeep! It was a lot of fun and offered unobstructed views.””

Palm Springs Architecture

My family took this tour on a recent trip to Palm Springs. The kids were thrilled to see the home that was recently purchased by Leonardo DiCaprio while my wife and I were fascinated by the stories our guide told us about celebrities from our generation. We also learned about the history of Palm Springs and saw some great examples of mid-century modernism architecture.””

Palm Springs Windmill Tour

★★★★★

Took the Windmill tour with my Mom this week and it was fantastic. We highly recommend this educational and entertaining trip that will give you a whole new appreciation for those twirling turbines. Morgan was our very knowledgeable guide who knows an incredible amount about the mills and the Palm Springs area. The tour was 2 and a half hours with every minute carefully planned out and all questions answered. Looking forward to our next visit to Palm Springs and another tour with Desert Adventures and Morgan!!!””

“The Right Tour with the Right People”

I booked both the San Andreas Fault (SAF) and Windmill/Whitewater Preserve tours with my wife. Morgan Levine was our SAF guide and she was a true champ when it came to knowledge, presentation, picking out the top spots, and bringing the experience together. Bob & Jim provided a wonderful and meaningful tour of the windmills and the Whitewater Preserve and were great company. There is a lot of history and evolution around the windmills and the Whitewater Canyon.””

“Windmills and Whitewater Adventure”

★★★★★

My friend and I just finished another excellent tour with Morgan Levine, senior naturalist guide for Desert Adventures in Palm Desert. Ever wonder about those giant windmills--now about 2500 of them--as you drive down the I-10 into Palm Springs? This tour (about 2 1/2 hours) is to see them up-close, with Morgan's excellent in-depth commentary, included with her amazing accumulated knowledge about the solar panel farms and natural gas facilities in the area, and renewable and other energy generation, in general. Also included is a trip to Whitewater, the trailhead where melted snow and Coachella Valley's share of Colorado River water converge to provide water to the Valley, and walking/hiking trails lead off from short local walks to walking/hiking journeys as far as Canada. Along the way, there's Morgan's commentary about water, geology, flora, fauna and a myriad of other collected facts about Palm Springs and the desert. Morgan's a real treasure as a guide, and if the topics interest you, you will really enjoy this tour.””

Great beer...Great time!

★★★★★

I was in Palm Springs with a bunch of my girlfriends for a girlfriends get away and we thought this Craft Beer Tasting tour sounded like a lot of fun. We had such a blast! We visited two different breweries and tasted 4 beers at each. They were all very different from each other. We also learned a lot about the process of making craft beers which was really interesting.”

I met up with a bunch of my buddies in Palm Springs for my bachelor party. We decided to take this Craft Beer Tour as one of my bachelor party activities. We had a great time and tasted a number of interesting craft beers. If you like beer, you'll like this tour!”

A Beer Lovers Dream

A few of my buddies and I took this tour and we're glad we did. We all fancy ourselves to be beer aficionado's, so we had fun sampling all of the different beers. The two breweries make very different styles of beers. So it was fun to compare and contrast them.”
