About Us
Since 1988, Desert Adventures has been inviting guests to experience the wild beauty, hidden stories, and timeless rhythms of the desert beyond the resort gates. What began as a simple idea—taking curious travelers out into the backcountry in a few well-worn Jeeps—quickly grew into one of the Coachella Valley’s most iconic outdoor experiences.
From the very beginning, our focus has been on more than just a ride. We set out to create journeys that are both exciting and meaningful—tours where geology comes alive, desert plants reveal their secrets, and the landscape tells a story shaped by time, culture, and the powerful forces of the San Andreas Fault.
Today, our signature fleet of open-air, 7-passenger Jeep Scramblers carries guests into places few visitors ever see—narrow canyons, hidden palm oases, and dramatic fault zones on our private Metate Ranch. Along the way, our expert guides share decades of local knowledge, turning every tour into a deeper connection with the desert.
More than three decades after our first tours rolled out, we’re still driven by the same spirit of adventure: small groups, authentic experiences, and a genuine love for the land we call home. Whether you’re exploring for the first time or returning for another adventure, we’re honored to share the desert with you.
